HSMM’s project managers and design staff are experienced in the variety of alternative project delivery methods in use today. The firm has been actively involved in the design-build method for more than 25 years, beginning with projects for the private sector in the early 1980s. Since 1995, HSMM has provided design services for more than $1 billion of design-build construction.

The firm is an active member of the Design-Build Institute of America at both the regional and national levels, and key members of our staff have been certified by DBIA as “Designated Design-Build Professionals”.

Today, HSMM’s design-build portfolio includes projects for private, municipal, state, and federal clients, encompassing virtually all of the firm’s market segments. Because of our experience, clients often call upon us to assist in preparing design-build Requests for Proposal and bridging documents. HSMM is recognized by both the purchasers of design-build services and by nationally-recognized design-build contractors as a leader in providing quality design services in the design-build arena.
