Acquisition Management Complex Phases I-IV
Wright-Patterson AFB, OH
Phase IVA of the Acquisition Management Complex (AMC) is a 120,000 SF office building that houses acquisition activities for U.S. Air Force fighter programs. HSMM was the prime architect/engineer on the design-build team. The latest in a series of buildings that comprise the AMC, Phase IVA's form, massing, and architectural details recall those of the historic aircraft hangers located nearby. Inside, the building is outfitted with pre-wired workstations that are grouped to create a true teaming environment for staff.

The building's basement is designed as a Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF). At the center are the communications and data centers that handle classified government programs. State-of-the-art voice/data/video systems, an Energy Management and Control System, electronic security, and raised access flooring round out the building's key features. The HSMM team received commendations from the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and the design-build contractor for project performance. |
