Maruchan Virginia Inc. Plant Expansion

The new plant expansion at Maruchan Virginia, Inc's Chesterfield County facility involved a new 127,000 SF finished goods warehouse, the conversion of 60,000 SF of warehouse space into food processing and packaging, and a 60,000 SF expansion for raw materials receiving, food processing and administrative/employee spaces. HSMM provided architectural and engineering services for the expansion and renovation program as part of a design-build team. The expanded plant produces 20 flavors of Ramen Noodles and 22 flavors of Maruchan Instant Lunch.

Maruchan Virginia needed the project to be completed quickly and without impacting plant operations. Through close coordination among the design-build team members and with the client, the project was implemented in four phases over a 12-month design and construction period with no disruption of production operations. |
