Government Complex
Ashe County, NC
Prominently located along the main county thoroughfare, the new Ashe County Governmental Complex is master planned to include a government center and courthouse with future plans for a detention center and agricultural building. The design of the new 61,000-square-foot government center and courthouse is classically inspired, with a three-story precast stone portico and base. The main feature of the new building is a central rotunda with a coffered dome ceiling. Around this public space are arranged the county offices with the courts occupying the uppermost floor.
