Honda of South Carolina

HSMM has been working with Honda of South Carolina on various projects aiding in the expansion of its manufacturing facilities in Timmonsville, South Carolina, since 2000.  As Honda of South Carolina’s production requirements have expanded, HSMM has been contracted to provide engineering and design services for upgrades and additions to the company’s main manufacturing facility. 

Multi-discipline HSMM teams have assisted in building design, renovations, additions, surveying, permitting, and site acquisition as well as roadway and parking improvements.   New buildings include a 90,000 SF personal watercraft manufacturing building with 30’ tall bays, and expansions to facilities for plastics extrusion, die cast and aluminum wheel manufacturing.

Other projects include a 36,000-square-foot addition to Material Services with 15 new loading docks; renovation of the Cafeteria/Kitchen; parking for 200 containers with planned expansion to 300; expansion for the production engineering staff including plant observation spaces; master planning for electrical and stormwater issues; and various electrical and mechanical upgrades.
